LOS ANGELES – As mothers who have witnessed firsthand the devastation that addiction inflicts on their kids, families and communities, we at Mothers Against Drug Addiction and Deaths (MADAAD) feel compelled to speak out about California’s very noble and well-intended attempts to address this crisis.
My own son, a bright and talented young man, now struggles with addiction while living on the streets of California. This heartbreaking reality fuels my commitment to advocating for effective solutions that address the root causes of drug addiction and homelessness.
So it may come as a surprise that I am not in support of Los Angeles County’s Measure A…
