Sinatra, Martin, and Davis: A Look Back at The Rat Pack

There were three of the most popular performers in the history of entertainment. Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin. Together, they formed what came to be known as The Rat Pack. Auxiliary members of the elite group also included Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, and more. But the core trio was Sinatra, Martin, and Davis.

Frank Sinatra was a monumental figure of the 20th century, the first teen idol and the definitive saloon singer, the latter exemplified on a series of ’50s concept albums. Born December 12, 1915, in Hoboken, NJ, Sinatra died on May 14, 1998, in Los Angeles, from bladder cancer, and heart and kidney disease.
