ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Prosecutors have charged a St. Louis man with several felonies after he allegedly fled a traffic stop and led police on a pursuit that ended with him crashing into a tree while two small children were inside the vehicle.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged 34-year-old Robert Lee Smith with two counts of first-degree child endangerment, aggravated fleeing a stop, and drug and firearm possession crimes in the incident. The court has ordered that he be held without bond.
