Broadway Hotpot opening in Fells Point, customers can cook their own food at table

A Chinese-style restaurant where diners cook their meals in simmering soup stock is the latest to join the Fells Point dining scene.

Broadway Hotpot started its soft opening on Sept. 19 at 709 S. Broadway, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for Oct. 19. The all-you-can-eat hotpot restaurant also includes a full bar and two private karaoke rooms.

The restaurant space along Broadway formerly held DogWatch Tavern until it closed in 2022. Broadway Hotpot comes from a local team led by Frank Lu, who opened Simply Sip Tea in Little Italy five years ago.
