AMHERST, Maine — A Maine brewery is honoring the memory of a Hancock County sheriff’s deputy who lost his life in the line of duty three years ago.

Deputy Luke Gross, 44, died after he was struck by a pickup truck while investigating a crash in Trenton on Sept. 23, 2021.

Gross was a husband and a father of two who served the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office for nearly two decades. He also worked as the Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer for Regional School Unit 24 for several years before his death…
