BUCKFIELD, Maine — The continuing dry conditions across Maine have brought elevated concerns for fire risk across the state.
Last night at approximately 7 p.m., a brushfire was ignited and quickly spread across 3-4 acres of land in Buckfield due to the lack of moisture in the air and Saturday’s peak winds gusting upwards of 25 mph during the afternoon. The direct spark of the flames has not been identified.
These elevated concerns of fire will continue through Sunday evening as winds are forecasted to gust upward of 35 mph and are forecasted to subside by the evening…
