Concerns grow over $3M budget for Bible Purchases in Oklahoma classrooms

OKLAHOMA — Oklahoma schools are now one semester into a state mandate raising the profile of Bibles in classrooms, and in Grove, school leaders say their focus remains on educating local kids.

“When it comes to the Bible and religion, we—I basically let them know that we are following the Oklahoma Academic Standards as required by law,” said Pat Dodson, Grove Schools Superintendent.
