LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – As a storm system continues to pass well to our north some energy could make it this far south into SW Oklahoma Thursday evening. There is an outside chance a severe storm could pop up in our far northeastern areas as well (Chickasha). We are only talking up to quarter size hail and up to 60 mph wind gusts possible with any storm the develops. Tomorrow evening will only be a threat level one of five in these areas. We are only talking a standard severe storm if anything. Overall storm coverage will be isolated (10%).

Upper level high pressure develops into the area from the southwest Thursday and Friday leading to triple digit heat Thursday and Friday. We are talking near record high temps and high minimum temps Thursday through Saturday! As of now, I don’t think we will break any records but we could tie a couple.

Sunday another storm system will pass to our north. Some energy one again could reach this far south and cause isolated activity to develop (10%). A cool front rolls in Sunday night bringing in cooler conditions early next week with a chance of rain…
