MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WIFR) – The last remaining big-box store in the Machesney Park Mall will soon abandon the shopping center.
Burlington will move from the mall to the Gateway District on Route 173.
Formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, the retailer will take over Office Depot’s space at 1524 W. Lane Road. This relocation will bring the store to an area with more businesses and foot traffic and work with a smaller footprint.
“We’re grateful to keep Burlington in Machesney Park,” says Mayor Steve Johnson. “This move will bring exciting change to the Gateway District while retaining a great department store.”…
