The Razorbacks continued to give up big plays, but the defense kept LSU in check in the second half, giving up only six points. Arkansas went into halftime down 16-7.
The Hogs are moving the ball very well on offense. Except for Rashod Dubinion’s fumble in the first quarter, Arkansas has been relatively mistake-free. Taylen Green is playing phenomenally well, connecting on 11 of his 16 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Armstrong was on the other end of the touchdown pass for his first of the season. As Green’s favorite target, Armstrong nearly eclipsed the century mark in the first half, gaining 90 yards on six receptions.
Unfortunately, some questionable officiating kept the Hogs from doing much late into the game. Tyron Broden — who has played his best game of the season — was hit viciously by LSU defensive back Sage Ryan, which looked like an obvious targeting penalty but was ultimately overturned.
