KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Community members were invited to a public input session Tuesday evening to provide feedback on the city’s plans to improve Verburg Park in Kalamazoo.
The 10-acre park runs along the Kalamazoo River on the city’s northeast side, offering a variety of recreational amenities.

The city has had plans to make improvements since 2017, however, the Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Kalamazoo, Patrick McVerry, said those plans had to be put on hold for river clean up.
Now that those cleaning efforts have been completed, the city is moving forward with their renovation plans –starting with public input sessions.
