Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris will be back in Michigan on Monday evening for a campaign event in Oakland County with Republican former U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming.
The Harris campaign announced Saturday that Harris would have a series of moderated conversations that day with Cheney, a former member of House GOP leadership who broke with former President Donald Trump for trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election he lost to President Joe Biden and what she and others considered his role in fomenting the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, as Congress met to certify those results.
Cheney has endorsed Harris for president this year. She and Harris were set to hold public discussions in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan on Monday as part of the leadup to the Nov. 5 general election in which Harris faces Trump…
