Democratic state Sen. Kristen McDonald Rivet retook the lead over Republican Paul Junge on Wednesday as they vied for a key, open U.S. House seat representing the Tri-Cities region of mid-Michigan.
McDonald Rivet had 51% of the vote and Junge had 45%, with 58% of the vote counted, according to unofficial results. Kathy Goodwin of the Working Class Party had 2% and Steve Barcelo was at 1%.
