STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton is announcing her fifth free mammogram event on Staten Island.
As part of her initiative, which has sponsored 10 events — five in Brooklyn and five on Staten Island — she has partnered with the American Italian Cancer Foundation and New York State Cancer Services Program to provide free screenings to women.
“I am honored to have sponsored a total of 10 mammogram events on both sides of the bridge,” Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton said. “This initiative is vital for women’s health, as early detection of breast cancer can make all the difference.
