NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a woman was fatally struck by a driver at a Staten Island hospital on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
At approximately 6:47 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision in the rear parking lot of the Staten Island University North Hospital located at 242 Mason Ave. in Dongan Hills.
An investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that 67-year-old man was driving a 2023 Volkswagen Atlas making a left turn onto the private roadway within the hospital parking lot when he struck 64-year-old Kathleen Murphy walking southbound in a marked crosswalk…
