MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) – A South Carolina energy company says they want to improve their communication with customers.
After there were some concerns about a possible Santee Cooper rate increase, the CEO, Jimmy Staton, says he wants to improve their communication.
If the rate change is approved, Staton will introduce a rate design change as well, encouraging Santee Cooper customers to limit the use of high-wattage appliances, like your dryer or water heater, during peak power hours which are summer afternoons and winter mornings. There will then be a 40% decrease in the total cost outside of those peak hours…
