Mother of Sandy Hook victim turns pain into action

Hamshire — On December 14, 2012, a gunman shot his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. He killed 20 students and six adults before taking his own life. One of those precious students was seven-year-old Josephine Gay.

Josephine’s mother, Michele Gay, has turned the tragic loss of her child into a powerful mission. She is the co-founder of the organization Safe and Sound Schools, promoting school safety nationwide.
