Seattle weather: Mountain snow ramps up, lowland rain returning Sunday

SEATTLE We saw a brief break in the rain on Saturday afternoon, with even a hint of blue sky popping out for a short time. This next disturbance will arrive by Sunday morning. Much like yesterday, the rain will move northward from the south through the day. More mountain snow is forecast to fall through our passes.

With many taking to the roads to get home after the holidays, pay close attention to our passes as the snow will be heavy at times, especially in the southern Cascades and on the east side of Snoqualmie pass near Easton. Winter Weather Advisories and Warnings are in effect for Sunday.
