The Crook County High School girls wrestling team had another busy week, wrestling a pair of dual meets in Pendleton on Thursday before competing in the 81-team Rollie Lane Invitational Friday and Saturday in Nampa, Idaho.
At Pendleton, the Cowgirls knocked off the host Buckaroos 18-15 and lost a close, 30-27 match to Riverside. in Nampa, Crook County finished in 15th place with 81.5 points.
Against Pendleton, the two teams wrestled just six matches, including two at 170 pounds. Carolina Villagomez earned a fall against Pendleton’s Maura McShane at 110 pounds, while Desiree Lopez pinned Jayda Preston at 115 pounds to give the Cowgirls a 12-0 lead.
