House fire displaces family in Rockville, fire officials say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A family is displaced after a fire broke out at a home in Rockville on Saturday.

In a post on X just after 2:30 p.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) said crews were responding to a fire in the basement of a single-family home in the 4500 block of Randolph Road near Charles Road.

Suspect arrested in connection to series of intentionally set fires in DC, officials say

The fire appeared to have started in the bedroom, and the two occupants inside the home escaped after smoke alarms alerted them to the flames, according to fire officials.

Piringer noted that one of the people who made it out did so with the help of firefighters.
