Jimmy Carter’s Sunday School legacy celebrated at Dupont Circle church

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — This Sunday the music and message at First Baptist Church in Dupont Circle celebrated a parishioner who passed away.

“Following the star, rising in his own soul, Jimmy Carter used the influence he had to serve the world,” said Senior Pastor Julie Pennington-Russell at Sunday’s service a week after Carter’s passing.
