Schools across Virginia, Maryland announce delays for third day due to ongoing cold

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — School divisions in Northern Virginia and Maryland are continuing to adjust their schedules as extreme cold temperatures persist in the DMV.

On Thursday, Jan. 23, school officials announced that schools would open two hours late as morning temperatures were forecasted to drop to the single digits. This is the third day in a row several school districts are opening two hours late.
