BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A goal in the sixth minute from Navy’s A.J. Schuetz would be the difference as Lehigh men’s soccer suffered a 1-0 loss Saturday night at the Ulrich Sports Complex on Senior Night. At halftime, Lehigh recognized seniors Ryan Gross, Perry Kingson and Tommy Zipprich.
“If we played the first half like we did in the second half, we probably would have been okay,” said head coach Dean Koski. “We didn’t assert ourselves in the first half, and we gave up an unfortunate goal early on. We woke up a little bit, but it was too little too late.”
With the loss, the Mountain Hawks dropped to 5-8-3 (3-3-1 PL) and the Midshipmen improved to 3-6-4 (3-3-1 PL). Lehigh had plenty of opportunities on Saturday, as the Mountain Hawks outshot the Midshipmen 19-10. Lehigh also held a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal and a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks…
