‘They don’t care’: PPL, AFD, respond to claims power was not shut off promptly during large rowhouse fire in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Dozens are displaced after several rowhomes on Cedar Street in Allentown caught fire late Thursday afternoon.

One of the dramatic images from the fire was the sparking utility lines connected to the burning rowhomes, as questions loomed about when power was finally cut to the homes, and whether it affected firefighters’ ability to battle the fire.
