I have known Rita Rawson since she was my alderwoman in Davenport from 2016-2019. I was impressed by her intelligence, integrity and in-depth knowledge then. After attending several candidate forums in 2024, I am even more impressed with her conscientious commitment as a Scott County supervisor for Scott County residents.
As a former farm girl, I am very much aware of the economic challenges farmers always face. I am convinced that Rita shares those same concerns since she had many farmer clients during her 25 years as a financial advisor. She also is committed to Scott County land policy that seeks to preserve prime farmland as much as possible. I am also certain that her private sector business experience has given her an in-depth understanding of the challenges small business owners face, such as the maze of government regulations.
