Mass. weather: Arctic airmass bringing ‘bitter cold’ persists Tuesday

A day after a storm dumped between 4 and 6 inches of snow on most of Massachusetts, an arctic airmass has settled in over the Bay State, bringing brutally cold conditions and wind chills at or below zero.

In Boston, temperatures are expected to peak at 21 on Tuesday, with wind chill values as low as minus 1. It is set to be even colder in Worcester, with a high of 17 and wind chills down to minus 6. Springfield is expected to see a high of 19 with wind chills as low as minus 7.
