DeWitt County Master Gardeners to promote pollinator awareness

CLINTON — The University of Illinois Extension’s DeWitt County Master Gardeners will host a two-session program titled “Pollinators in the Park” at Weldon Springs State Park School House for Pollinators, 4734 Springs Road, Clinton.

The first session will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, and will discuss monarch butterflies and how to identify them, as well as their lifecycle, habitats, and how garden plants support them as pollinators.

The second session will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, and will discuss how to choose native plants that support monarchs, and designs for pollinator pocket gardens…
