In Indiana’s 25-point loss to Illinois on Tuesday night, the Illini knocked down 8-of-19 from 3-point range in the first half, good for 42.1 percent. It was one of several reasons the Hoosiers found themselves down 28 points at halftime.
A look back at the film reveals an Indiana team that continually got carved up by Kasparas Jakucionis and Tomislav Ivisic in high-ball screen action. But Indiana also just left shooters wide open on a couple of occasions, and its rebounding issues allowed the Illini second-chance 3-pointers, which were daggers.
