Through the first couple of weeks since the transfer portal opened, Texas A&M has been targeting help along the defensive line. Those efforts have paid off as the Aggies landed a commitment from former Colorado and Pittsburgh edge rusher Dayon Hayes.
Hayes graded out as Pittsburgh’s top edge player on Pro Football Focus in 2023 and was a preseason All-Big 12 selection this year. Hayes had made an early impact for the Buffaloes with 16 tackles and two sacks through four games before his season was brought to an end after just four games.
During his time with Pittsburgh, he played in 30 games and recorded a total of 80 tackles As a fourth-year junior, Hayes had 45 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss and four sacks while tallying six quarterback hurries as well…
