WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — A Thanksgiving tradition in the District is still going strong in its 130th year: serving people who call the city home – whether they have one or not.
Many are without family members or friends during the holiday season, but Central Union Mission is making sure everyone has a seat at its Thanksgiving table.
“They care about people that are less fortunate,” said a resident of the ministry Andre Thomas. He’s stayed with Central Union for about eight months. “They can come here, they can eat good and also fellowship with each other.”…
