Five from NKY qualify for final rounds of girls state golf tournament

The first round of the girls state golf tournament took place for Regions 5-8 on Wednesday at Shelbyville Country Club with five girls from northern Kentucky advancing to the final two rounds in Bowling Green.

Dixie Heights’ Tatjana Andracenko, Cooper’s Reagan Ramage, Ryle’s Anika Okuda, Bishop Brossart’s Emma Laker and Notre Dame’s Didi Jiradamkerng all punched their tickets to Bowling Green.

In the first round of qualifying, there’s three different locations with eight teams and 80 golfers participating at each site. The top three teams out of the eight that participated at each site and then the next best 15 individuals not on those three teams qualify for the final two rounds in Bowling Green Oct. 11-12…
