Update on injury status of Kye Robichaux ahead of Western Kentucky game

Boston College head coach Bill O’Brien gave an injury update on running back Kye Robichaux during Tuesday’s press conference. “I think he’s doing better,” O’Brien explained. “He got in for one play there during the game. He’s definitely doing much better. It’s not like a serious thing, it’s just something that we’ve got to monitor. I think he’s working hard to get back.” According to Mac Hutchinson on Twitter, Robichaux did not practice on Tuesday.

The Eagles are set to play Western Kentucky on Saturday. Robichaux was a running back for the Hilltoppers in 2021 and 2022. He rushed for 828 yards in two seasons before transferring to Boston College before the ’23 season.

If he can not go on Saturday, expect a combination of Treshaun Ward and Turbo Richard at the running back position. The two combined for 24 rushes for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Red Bandanna game against Michigan State. “I think Turbo is very tough,” O’Brien said. “That’s what I like about him the most. He’s a very tough young guy. When you have that type of physical toughness and mental toughness when you come into college, that’s a big deal. Not everybody has that.”…
