BY KAREN GERHARDINGER | MIRROR REPORTER — When the curtains come up for Chicago the Musical at the Stranahan Theater next week, Christina Youngblood knows she’ll look out to some familiar faces in the audience.
“I spent time wandering those halls,” said Christina, a 2018 Anthony Wayne High School graduate who landed a spot in the Tony Award-winning show. “It’s crazy to be back in a professional setting.”
The 24-year-old performs in the role of Annie, one of the cell block girls in a musical set in the razzle-dazzle of Chicago’s Jazz Age. She also is an understudy for Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two of Cook County Jail’s most notorious murderers.
