Greenbrier Plate Reader CAM Snags Stolen Semi Out of Florida

GREENBRIER, TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – On Sunday morning, December 22, 2024, around 11:00 a.m., Greenbrier Police were alerted by automated license plate reader cameras, known as Flock Safety systems, that a stolen vehicle had entered their jurisdiction. The vehicle, a tractor-trailer, was reported stolen out of Boca Raton, Florida.

As the stolen tractor-trailer made its way through Sumner County, it triggered alerts from the same camera system. However, officers in that area were unable to intercept the vehicle. Once the truck reached Greenbrier, local police were positioned close to the alert location and quickly responded…
