The injury riddled Buccaneers dropped a pivotal division game to the now 5-3 Atlanta Falcons who are now firmly in the driver’s seat in the NFC South as they take the tiebreaker from the now 4-4 Bucs. It was a 31-26 win for Atlanta and they had the game well in hand for all of the 4th Quarter. Thoguh one play earlier in the game would’ve changed the entire outlook of the game.
Kyle Pitts caught a deep ball and took it 49 yards to the house to bring the game to a tie after the extra point which was pending. But Antoine Winfield Jr. hustled his butt off to try and make a play he made twice last season, including once against the Falcons and punch the ball out before the opposing team’s player crosses the goalline. It looked awesome in real time but was ruled a touchdown.

The play was looked at as it was a scoring play. But for some reason there was no camera there?
Todd Bowles said on the review of the Antoine Winfield Jr. goal-line play that did not result in an overturned ruling he was told there was no side view.

I have never heard of this before. It seems every game every week has some type of pylon cam or goalline cam ever since Vinny Testaverde incorrectly got ruled a TD in Seattle in the late 90s. How is this possible in 2024?…
