The National Weather Service expects another round of potentially severe weather across Mississippi on Sunday. And it’s now focusing on the western half of the state as having the best chance of seeing the stronger storms. A Level-2 “slight” risk of damaging straight-line winds, hail and possible tornadoes covers areas from the Mississippi River to just east of I-55 including Holmes County, the western half of Attala County and western Leake County. Other parts of the local area are under a Level-1 “marginal” risk.
