Third teen arrested for trying to steal reserve deputy’s vehicle: JPD

JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A third teenager has been arrested in connection a shooting involving an off-duty reserve deputy after the teens allegedly tried to steal the deputy’s vehicle.

Detective Tommie Brown said an unidentified 17-year-old was arrested on Sunday, January 5. The teen was charged with armed carjacking and aggravated assault. Brown said the teen was denied bond during a court appearance on Monday, January 6.

Jackson police previously arrested a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old in connection to the case on Tuesday, December 31. The unidentified teens were also charged with aggravated assault and armed carjacking…
