Bay Area serial killer convicted of murdering two women in Fremont in 1986

( KRON ) — An already-convicted murderer has been found guilty of killing two more women in Fremont in 1986, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office announced. David Misch, 63, was found guilty of killing Michelle Xavier, 18, and Jennifer Duey, 20.

The bodies of both young women were found naked in a remote area of Fremont on Feb. 2, 1986.

Evidence at trial showed that Misch’s DNA was found under Duey’s nails. To explain the DNA, Misch said in 2003 that he saw the young women being kidnapped at gunpoint and tried to save them.
