Livermore man arrested for possession of stolen Corvette, 2 other vehicles

( KRON ) — A Livermore man is in custody in connection to a stolen vehicle operation, California Highway Patrol announced in a Facebook post on Monday. He is accused of possessing three stolen vehicles (pictured below): an orange Chevrolet Corvette, a dark-colored Jeep SUV and a Dodge sedan.

All three vehicles were recovered by authorities, according to CHP. The investigation into this stolen vehicle operation began in July when investigators were notified about a faulty car registration.

The vehicle involved in that registration did not match the car and was likely switched to mask the fact it was stolen, CHP said. Officials did not say which of the three vehicles it was.

As the investigation went on, a suspect — who CHP did not identify — is believed to be responsible for selling the stolen vehicle. A search warrant was eventually issued for the suspect’s Livermore residence…
