The San Ramon Planning Commission is set to consider approving plans for a new public park in Bishop Ranch that would be adjacent to other new developments in the area and seek to bring to life visions outlined by the city and developers as part of the CityWalk Master Plan.
The 1.4-acre park is being proposed for a currently undeveloped portion of land in Bishop Ranch 1A, which is one of three different sites in that section of Bishop Ranch. It would be bordered by the Belmont Village senior care facility to the east, existing office and parking to the south, and a proposed 383-unit apartment project to the north.
The proposed park space is meant to flesh out the vision of the South Parkway Green in the CityWalk plan and a key public walking space aimed at connecting new developments in Bishop Ranch for pedestrians as part of a larger system of trails and public spaces outlined in the plan for a walkable downtown neighborhood…
