Stockton’s new mayor, Christina Fugazi, is wasting no time in addressing city issues, announcing her first initiative just days into the job. Fugazi, who officially takes office on Jan. 7, revealed her plans for “Light Up Stockton,” an effort to repair blown-out streetlights across the city.
“The city has a lot of neighborhoods where the lights have all been blown out,” Fugazi explained. “What happens as a result of that is we have higher incidents of crime.”
