Outdoor Fitness Court Provides Opportunity for Stafford Residents to Get Healthier

About 20 minutes after the crowd dispersed, a lone individual, clad in a wool hat, T-shirt and jeans, walked onto the blue pads, placed a light jacket and iPad atop one of the elevated sit-up stations and made his way to one of the bars on the wall. The man jumped up, grabbed the bar and proceeded to complete a handful of pull-ups.

The new Fitness Court at Nautilus Park in Stafford Township had its first user.

“This is a wonderful addition to the community,” said resident and Stafford Pathfinders leader Debbie Dooley on Dec. 18, moments after she and several dozen others, including Mayor Robert Henken and a handful of council members along with Assemblyman Brian Rumpf, looked on as Horizon Foundation representative Renee Woodside snipped the ceremonial ribbon to christen the fitness space…
