NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A member of New Haven’s notoriously violent Exit 8 gang was sentenced in the city to more than 20 years imprisonment Tuesday for pulling the trigger in the May 2021 murder of a rival gang associate, and committing other crimes.
Quaymar Suggs, 20, of New Haven, was sentenced to 20 years and 10 months in federal prison, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Suggs’ sentence is followed by five years of supervised release.
