Man sentenced to life in prison in connection with fatal shooting

A man will spend the rest of his life in prison for his role in a shooting that took place in Lakewood last year.

On Nov. 18, a Jefferson County jury convicted Patrick Plasencio on the following charges:

  • First-degree murder – after deliberation
  • Attempted murder – after deliberation
  • Prohibited use of a weapon
  • Prohibited use of a weapon – drunk with a gun

Shortly before 3 a.m. on April 30, 2023, agents from the Lakewood Police Department responded to a shooting at a home in the 1200 block of South Marshall Street. When they arrived, they found Amanda Bobian’s body on the front porch.

Bobian was 22 years old. She was a mother of a two-year-old. Her parents said they miss her sense of humor and the joy she brought to the family…
