THP worked 645 crashes – including 3 fatal – during TN snowstorm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) gave an update on the number of crashes and calls that troopers responded to across the state during the Friday snowstorm.

The Tennessee Department of Homeland Security (TDHS) said troopers responded to a total of 645 crashes, which includes 518 property damage crashes, 127 injury crashes and three fatal crashes. The crash in Springfield that killed a two kids, aged 7 and 4, is one of the three fatal crashes, and it is being investigated as a vehicular homicide.

During the snowstorm, TDHS said troopers assisted 874 stranded drivers, and dispatchers answered a total of 1,708 calls…
