Work Release Program helps former inmates reenter society, ODOC says

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) said its Work Release Program is showing promising results.

ODOC’s Work Release Program helps formerly incarcerated people reenter society. By partnering with employers and offering rehabilitation services, the program aims to help people achieve financial stability and support their families in an effort to build better communities and reduce recidivism.

In a press release, ODOC said it partners with employers who offer second chances statewide. This has helped more than 3,000 formerly incarcerated people get jobs over the last five years…
