Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road, Tampa. “Letterhead” follows the Protagonist’s adventures through a distorted alternate reality of military letter-writing, careless judicial trials, and a government-sponsored cult community. The play examines rituals and customs in the world around us by presenting bizarre and occasionally disturbing alternatives. Jan. 25-April 7. MOSI, 4801 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa. An exciting new exhibition that highlights the latest advancements in dinosaur research. Featuring groundbreaking work from the American Museum of Natural History and leading paleontologists, this exhibition showcases our evolving understanding of dinosaur biology.

2025 Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Fest

11:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Downtown Tampa. Returning for its 106th year, the Gasparilla Pirate Fest presented by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla has a lot of fun in store, starting with brunch at the Tampa Convention Center and followed by the Gasparilla Invasion and ship docking. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. while Pirate Fest stage performances take place all day from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. https://gasparillapiratefest.com
