A BASE jump went wrong in Colorado on Sunday night, prompting an extensive search and rescue effort in a local canyon.
According to Arvada Fire, a report was received at about 6 p.m. of an individual who had sustained injuries in BASE jump that took place in Clear Creek Canyon. The individual was located near Tunnel 2, across the creek from the canyon’s road and about 60 to 80 feet up a slope.
A technical rope rescue was needed to get the patient safely off the hillside, with Foothills Fire & Rescue, Golden Fire-Rescue, Colorado State Patrol, and Stadium Medical also assisting at the scene…
