Dry spell continues…the latest drought monitor and when rain chances return

A very dry October continues across Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry. The latest drought monitor shows ‘abnormally dry’ conditions across most of Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry.

So far in October Savannah has only picked up 0.02″ of rain. If the month ended today this would tie for the second driest October on record.

More dry days are expected before a few showers enter the forecast.

The next chance of a few showers is Sunday afternoon and evening. The chance of rain is currently on the low side at 20%.
