Korn Celebrates 30 Years in Alpharetta, Georgia

Korn’s North American tour celebrating 30 years of freakishly good music, made its way to Alpharetta, Georgia on September 16, performing for a packed house at the Ameris Bank Amphitheater. The packed lineup featured Spiritbox and Gojira, delivering an absolute must-see for metalheads.

Spiritbox took the stage to open the evening, setting the energy at such a high level that retained throughout the whole concert. Frontwoman Courtney LaPlante’s visceral screams and haunting clean vocals paired perfectly with the band’s atmospheric yet crushing sound setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Tracks like “Holy Roller” and “Circle With Me” were the fan favorites as the crowd went wild from the first riff! Spiritbox with all their ferocity has cemented their place as one of the most exciting modern metal acts.

Next up, Gojira brought their signature blend of technical precision and raw power. Their live performance of “L’Enfant Sauvage” could be described as a huge fireball on stage, with epic pyro and lighting to escalate their already legendary stage presence. The sheer energy and musicianship of Joe Duplantier and his bandmates was on full display, creating a seismic experience that reverberated through the venue, with crowd surfers, pyro, and green and blue lightshows that enraptured the entire amphitheater. Coming off of their iconic Olymics opening ceremony, Gojira also treated the crowd to the song that broke metal into the global event, “Mea Culp (Ah! Ça ira!)”, for which the crowd went wild! Gojira proves themselves to be a mainstay and one of the greatest modern metal bands…
